The Approach

01

In-Depth CMA

A 30-45 minute on-site walkthrough scored on a 100-point rubric, backed by five comparable sales and a written report. Most agents give you a number. I give you the analysis behind it.

02

Local Knowledge

Born and raised in Mountain View. 5th generation Peninsula native. Years of on-site work across Silicon Valley homes — I've been inside more properties than most agents will see in a career.

03

Analytical Approach

BS Mathematics. BS Financial Planning. MS Finance. I've written trading algorithms and built predictive models. Pricing your home is a data problem — I treat it like one.

About

Born and raised in Mountain View, California. Fifth-generation Bay Area native. I walked on to Division I football at the University of Utah and earned a scholarship by doing things the right way — while completing two bachelor's degrees simultaneously.

I've carried that mentality into everything since. I've written trading algorithms, built predictive models, developed websites, managed crews, negotiated deals, and allocated capital.

Took over operations for a 35-year-old fencing business, grew it, and eventually exited. I've run every function of a company — sales, operations, finance, marketing.

I'm obsessed with finding a better and more efficient way to do things. Always learning, always building, always questioning.

At Compass, applying all of it to Silicon Valley real estate.

Background

Not your typical agent path.

Hampel family fence work — Bay Area

Quantitative.

Mathematics, financial planning, and a master's in finance. I've written trading algorithms and built predictive models. Pricing a home is a data problem — I treat it like one.

Operator.

Ran every function of a 35-year-old family business — sales, operations, finance, marketing — and grew it. Running a business end-to-end taught me that execution is everything. In real estate that means clear communication, no dropped balls, and a process that protects you from contract to close.

Local.

Fifth-generation Peninsula native. Years on site at thousands of Silicon Valley properties with my father and our crews. I've seen what's behind the walls, what gets buyers excited, and what sellers think doesn't matter but does. That ground-level knowledge shapes how I evaluate every home I work with.

Each Peninsula city prices differently — and within each one, certain pockets quietly outperform. Real value comes from local knowledge, not the list price.

How I Work

Say what you do.
Do what you say.

Trust  ·  Honesty  ·  Clear Communication

An escrow has 20+ moving people. I keep them on track so you don't have to.

Modern home interior — staircase and entryway

01

Prepare first.

Scoring, comps, prep plan — done before your home touches the market.

02

Communicate clearly.

Most surprises can be solved with one phone call. You, your family, and everyone involved always knows where things stand.

03

Find what's hiding.

Every transaction has surprises. The goal is to find them early — in inspections, disclosures, and terms — before they become problems at the closing table.

For Sellers

What this means
when you sell.

I bring a data-driven approach to pricing, a ground-level knowledge of Silicon Valley properties from years in the field, and an obsession with executing deals correctly.

Every comp gets scored on the same 100-point rubric — location, lot, light, layout, condition, finish. That's how we land on a price that holds in escrow instead of one that has to be defended.

My signature offer for every potential seller is an In-Depth CMA — a structured, analytical walkthrough of your property scored against recent comparable sales.

No charge. No pressure. No pitch.
